A portion of South Main Street in downtown was closed Saturday after bricks fell from the second-story exterior of the Hicks and Demps Law Office at Fifth and Main.

The collapse appeared to occur between the roof and the second-story windows. Bricks were dumped onto the sidewalk.

Main Street will be closed between Fourth and Sixth streets due to structural concerns with a building facade,” the Hopkinsville Fire Department announced in a Facebook post. “Please use alternative routes when traveling through this area as crews continue to clear the area and assess the structural concerns.”
